Google Pixel 2 And Pixel 2 XL : Beauties With Beast Inside, Specs, Pricing, Availability And Other Launches

Google just launched the follow up of last year's Pixel series, Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 and a bunch of other devices.  With these devices Google is trying to increase it's share in hardware market.Let's see what's inside Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Design

They have the improved the design which they had in last year's Pixel, and made it more practical. Now the glass on the back panel of Pixel 2 has less coverage than Pixel. These devices will give good in hand feel while retaining the premiumness and beauty. But sadly they have removed the 3.5mm jack this year, joining the league started by Apple.

Display

Talking about Pixel 2 first, it comes with 5 inch Full-HD resolution with OLED panel with 16:9 body ratio while Pixel XL 2 comes with 6 inch QHD+ resolution and POLED panel. They both are IP67 certified , water and dust resistant and have Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Display is not as good as compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It is also having other display issues which Google says, will try to make it right.

Camera

In the camera department Google has done tremendous job. It has got the best ever camera Mark from DxO of 98. Now rear camera on both the phones come with 12MP f/1.8 lens backed with HDR+, Portrait Mode, Dual Pixel Sensor Technology, Fuse Video Stabilisation( which includes both OIS and EIS stabilisation while recording video), Motion Photos and the new thing which is exclusive to Pixel 2 series, Google Lens. And front camera features a 8MP camera with f/2.4 aperture, it also supports Portrait Mode. Both the front and back camera can shoot videos at 4K.

OS, Processor And Battery

Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, both run on latest Android OS Oreo 8.0., becoming the first devices that comes with Oreo 8.0 out of the box.
They both come packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset and Adreno 540 GPU.
Google Pixel 2 is powered by a 2700mAh battery while Google Pixel XL 2 is powered by 3520mAh battery.

Additional Features

Google's Pixel 2 devices comes packed with lightning fast fingerprint scanner, Super fast charging via Type-C port, Now Playing feature, which let's you know about the song playing in background without doing anything. Front facing stereo speakers for immersive content watching experience. Now they also have Always On Display. Active Edge Technology for triggering Google Assistant, which is similar to HTC's Edge Sense technology and comes with support of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Unfortunately, this year also Pixel 2 devices doesn't have expandable storage and features single SIM slot only.

Pricing

Google Pixel 2 is priced at Rs 61,000 for the (4GB, 64GB) version and for the same Pixel 2 XL is priced at Rs 73,000. For the 128GB variants you have to pay Rs 70,000 for Pixel 2 and Rs 82,000 for Pixel 2 XL. Pixel 2 is available in 3 colours while Pixel XL 2 is available in 2 colors. They are available for pre-order exclusively via Flipkart in India. Google also has announced launch offers which includes bluetooth headphones from Sennheiser priced at Rs 11,990, cashbacks and 2 years of international warranty.
Other devices launched by Google include the New Google Home Mini, Google Home, Google Home Max, Google PixelBook with Pixelbook Pen, Google Earpods and Google Clips. But it is still unknown when these devices will be made available in India.
